Xerox 7336

PixEdit drives this scanner directly without the need for driver software.

Select between 200 or 400 DPI resolution. Use 200 DPI if this gives sufficient image quality, (less scanned image data results in faster editing). Additionally, it occupies less space when the image is saved on disk. If you need a different resoloution than 200 or 400 dpi supported by the scanner, you may use PixEdit's resize document command found in the options menu. Resizing to a higher resoloution than delivered by the scanner will not improve the image quality. Therefore, if you need say 300 dpi, you must scan your document at 400 dpi and then use the resize document command. Scanning at 200 dpi and then resizing to 300 dpi will only result in a larger image file.

As with all supported scanners in PixEdit, the image is displayed as the data arrives from the scanner and is directly available for editing and/or cleanup as soon as the scanning process is completed.

The default values for Contrast and Threshold are suitable for most types of documents. In some cases you may need to adjust these parameters if the contrast differs from a normal black and white document. Select the Dither option if your document contains pictures. For all other types of documents select the Normal option.
